Korg hosted a block party, the second event this year to flood the Brooklyn streets with live music, dancing, and the diverse culture Brooklyn is known and loved for.

Korg provided an opportunity for attendees to demo gear and get excited about making music with products they may not have used before. With brand experts on hand, Korg contributed a variety of synthesizers for the exclusive gear tent, sharing in the good vibes this mellow gathering brought. Local musicians and DJs performed throughout the day, by-passers meandered through, and parents strolled along with their children as laughter erupted till late in the evening. The event was live streamed on the official Korg Twitter channel, providing an additional outlet for people to experience the exclusive block party.

“This event turned out amazingly well”, says Morgan Walker, senior manager for Korg USA marketing communications dept. “Everyone who came brought a really great vibe to the event. It was inspiring to see an entire community come together and share their music.”

“I wanted to provide my community with a glimpse into beatmaking and producing, as well as give local artists the chance to perform with established acts,” said musician Nothing_Neue.“I had an idea to involve Korg to give artists an opportunity to try out gear they otherwise had no access to prior. The response has been overwhelming and I’m excited to see what the next one will bring.”

The first block party took place on June 24, with the next one to be announced in Spring 2018.
