Sam Ash Music Co. obtained between $5 million and $10 million in payroll protection program (PPP) funding, according to a Newsday report. A total of 70 companies on New York’s Long Island received this funding from the federal government, including the parent company of the newspaper Newsday itself.
A call placed by the Music & Sound Retailer to Hicksville, N.Y.-based Sam Ash executives to learn more about how the loan helped the retailer and its employees went unreturned.
