Pharrell Williams is “happy” to be named chief creative officer at Roli, a UK-based musical instrument startup. In fact, the two have collaborated to create “Happy by Pharrell,” a studiopack for the free Noise app. It deconstructs the chords, basslines, and vocals of “Happy,” intended to give the user the raw materials to build their own song.
“Music touches all of us, and for a long time I’ve been passionate about finding ways to share the power of music with more people,” said Williams. “When I met Roland Lamb [founder and CEO] and ROLI, I immediately felt we were working towards exactly the same goals, and so I’m super excited that we’re kicking off this partnership.”
