Yorkville Sound announced a partnership with Samson Technologies for Canadian distribution. Effective immediately, Yorkville Sound will distribute Samson Audio, Samson Wireless and Hartke Amplifiers.
Samson Technologies began designing wireless microphone systems in 1980. In the early ’90s, Samson began to expand the reach of its audio products through the development of power amplifiers, mixers, wired microphones and signal processors. By 2005, the company released the first professional USB microphones to be used by musicians, broadcasters and podcast enthusiasts.
“Samson was the forerunner with wireless, back when it was considered novelty or seen as an exclusive feature for stadium acts.” Jeff Cowling, vice president of sales and marketing at Yorkville Sound, said. “Today, wireless is most accessible and end users are leaning toward wireless solutions for their home, club and house-of-worship setups.”
“Similar to their wireless expertise, Samson set the industry standard for USB microphones,” Cowling added. “With a boom in home recording and podcasting, we are thrilled to have Samson’s USB line available through Yorkville. We clearly have the best in class under one roof and are aligned with Samson’s vision to enhance the lives of music and broadcast professionals everywhere.”
The Samson partnership includes the Hartke line of bass combos, amplifiers and cabinets.
