DW Music Foundation (DWMF) has been awarded a grant by Chuck and Lisa Surack, founders of Sweetwater.
DWMF, the charitable arm of DW Workshop Inc., was created to provide the gift of music to underserved communities worldwide. The non-profit donates instruments and music education resources to schools, music educators, youth programs, health & wellness organizations, the military, and other organizations that align with its mission.
Sweetwater also believes in giving back to community by helping musicians, the arts, education, children, and social services. In the past year they have supported more than 500 non-profit organizations, causes and individuals with the donation of musical instruments, audio gear, financial resources and sponsorships.
“We are proud and excited to partner with Sweetwater, an organization who has the spirit of giving in its core values. Together, our missions are aligned, believing that sharing the joy of music and music making can change lives for the better. We are very grateful to Sweetwater for their gift and look forward to making meaningful impact together,” said Michele Abrams, DWMF executive director.
The Sweetwater grant will be used to help DW Music Foundation continue to share life changing music making, and music education with people of all ages and backgrounds. From youth to wounded warriors, those facing health challenges and the military, the Sweetwater donation will help bring inspiration, healing and hope.
