Emanating from the gorgeous Music City Center, this year’s Summer NAMM, held from July 17 to 19, delivered some “southern comfort” with its trademark blend of bustling product exhibits, progressive education sessions and fun nighttime events. The thousands who descended on an unseasonably cool and cloudy Nashville all seemed to agree their investment to attend the show yielded tangible dividends for their business; the consensus was that they’d definitely be returning next year. Boasting increased buying power and a bigger show footprint, this year’s Summer NAMM was the largest since The Great Recession, a fact that contributed to the optimism that prevailed on the show floor.
“NAMM members who attended Summer NAMM are leaving Nashville with a competitive edge to succeed in the second half of the year,” remarked Joe Lamond, President and CEO of NAMM. “We are grateful to the members who shared their paths to success with their peers during the Breakfast Sessions and the Top 100 Dealer Awards. Together, we will continue to strengthen our industry.”
