Roland has launched a new multimedia platform featuring written editorial, in-depth mini-documentaries and more. Dubbed Roland Articles, the platform will be home to a curated selection of stories, product guides and interviews. All content on the website will be marked by a focus on artists, instruments and the Roland brand.
Roland Articles features two separate collections: Stories and Learn. The Stories section offers thoughtful, investigative articles written by contemporary voices in journalism. The Learn section, on the other hand, is intended to provide music-based educational content written by specialists.
“We are thrilled to officially launch Roland Articles,” Toshi Ikeda, Roland Head of Global Marketing, said. “We created this platform to provide Roland fans and newcomers with a unique destination to learn and explore new sounds, discover new artists, improve their skills, learn about Roland gear and read compelling stories.”
Among the articles kicking off the platform’s launch are a marquee feature on dance/electronic artist Linafornia; an interview with musician, producer and visual artist, Mux Mool; a guide to Roland’s TD-17 V-Drums; and a piece about Slipknot’s Jay Weinberg and the VAD506 V-Drums Acoustic Design kit.
Roland also published the first items in what will become two ongoing Roland Articles series: Scene Reports and Sound Behind the Song. The Scene Reports series will consist of deep-dive editorials about the music, food and cultural vibes of Nashville, Tenn., while the Sound Behind the Song series will outline the history of the song “Buffalo Stance” by Neneh Cherry.
