The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative that it will establish a process for U.S. businesses to request an exclusion from tariffs placed on products on the HTS code lists 4A and 4B. Products on list 4A (stringed instruments, pianos, wind instruments, percussion, keyboards, accessories and more) are currently subject to a 15-percent tariff; products on list 4B (some stringed instruments, stands and some accessories) will be subject to a 15-percent tariff beginning on Dec. 15. To assist members with navigating the process, NAMM will host a webinar sharing information and instructions on how to submit a tariff exclusion request on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.
