C.F. Martin celebrated the launch of its DX Johnny Cash guitar during an event in Nashville featuring John Carter Cash and Carlene Carter. Carlene and Carter and Carter Cash surprised the audience by taking the stage for a performance of three Carter family songs, including “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”
“Dad was always committed to Martin. To him it stood for quality. No matter the performance, he could always trust his guitar. I am very proud to continue the relationship my father started with Martin by offering the new DX Cash model. This is a quality guitar for an entry price I hope serves fans of all abilities,” said Carter Cash.
The guitar is designed in collaboration with Carter Cash and is a nod to the rich history between Cash and Martin Guitar. The DX Johnny Cash features a classic Dreadnought body shape and includes a custom fingerboard, inlaid with stars and the “CASH” logo. Johnny Cash’s signature appears on the rosette and label.
