Michael Kelly Guitars, a property of New York-based Samson Technologies and Florida-based Singular Sound, has granted Hal Leonard distribution rights for various products from its brands, effective immediately. Through the agreement, the company can distribute Michael Kelly Guitars in the U.S. and Canada, and Singular Sound products in the U.S.
Michael Kelly Guitar Co. was started back in 1999, launching its Dragonfly collection of mandolins and acoustic basses. These instruments appealed to musicians with their high-end quality and reasonable price points, and they eventually led to the company’s motto, “boutique within reach.”
Singular Sound got its start in 2014 with the BeatBuddy, a drum machine in a guitar pedal. More recently, the company has released its Aeros Loop Studio looper pedal and Cabli cable organizer, along with frequent updates for the products.
“Hal Leonard is thrilled to bring these quality lines of products to our network of retailers,” Brad Smith, VP of Hal Leonard’s MI Products Distribution Division, said. “MKG and Singular Sound bring in-demand products that complement our growing line of gear for the fretted-instrument market.”
