Celestion has launched CDX1-1070, a one-inch-exit, ferrite magnet compression driver. Driven by a 25-millimeter/one-inch copper-clad aluminium voice coil, it provides 12 watts RMS power handling and 106-decibel sensitivity across a frequency range of 1,500 to 20 kilohertz. Featuring a single-piece PETP diaphragm, surround is held in place by a precision aluminium carrier, which ensures consistent, reliable performance and facilitates a smooth frequency response. The lightweight, ferrite magnet device is fabricated using a rigid engineering thermoplastic with a standard 2xM6 bolt fitting.
