In honor of International Women’s Day, the Smart Women in Music Fund is hosting a virtual networking and educational event on Monday, March 8 at 6 p.m. EST.
This year, the theme for International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge, focusing on gender bias and inequality. The goal is to #ChooseToChallenge one another to take personal branding to new strides, to get together to celebrate achievements, and to educate and empower one another while increasing visibility to the value that women bring to the music products industry.
The event will be hosted by featured speaker entrepreneur Lisa Cruz. Cruz will share what she has encountered along her journey. Additionally, she will invite participants to share their stories. Finally, Cruz will conclude the session by inspiring all to become the change they want to see. As a business owner and advocate for women, Cruz encourages participants to share, care and use their individual and collective voices to power change.
