Music China

This year’s Music China show continues to grow, offering appealing business opportunities and musical inspirations to Asia’s markets. Taking place from October 14 to 17 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, the show will be the biggest ever, boasting 105,000 square meters of exhibition space. Delivering promising growth of seven percent in the show’s scale, the organizers set an optimistic target for this year’s event. According to Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd., “Business is always the foremost priority for our show participants, and the overwhelming response from the industry supports that Music China is a strong trade platform in Asia. We are projecting to have 1,800 exhibitors to showcase a wide range of musical instruments at the 2015 show, and we’ll attract 73,000 visitors from around the world.”

Joining this year’s Music China are renowned industry brands that include Alfred, ABRSM, Bach, Blüthner, Bösendorfer, Buffet, Casio, D’Addario, Fazioli, Fender, GEWA, Grotrian, Hal Leonard, Ibanez, Kawai, Korg, Ludwig, Marshall, Medeli, Music Sales, Ovation, Pearl, Pearl River, Petrof, PRS, Roland, Selmer, Samick, Schimmel, Steinway, Tama, TASCAM, Taylor and Yamaha, as well as 10 international groups and pavilions from Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan and the U.K.

Carrying out Music China’s concept of putting music, business and culture together, the organizers will host engaging education and networking sessions, as well as live performances, to provide showgoers with a complete experience of music, knowledge and culture. The program will have a core focus of strategies for new markets and business segments, education for kids and appreciation of musical instruments, along with music masters’ workshops. Among the highlights are the following: NAMM CMIA Forum and NAMM University Courses; music education conference and master classes; ancient and modern violin-making demonstration; music-learning program for kids; SchoolJam and drum circles; artists’ and celebrities’ autographs; and more than 1,000 indoor and outdoor live shows
