Music & Arts expanded its reach in Gator Country. The retailer acquired Gainesville, Fla.-based Great Southern Music. Great Southern Music has served the community as a respected music retailer with a strong lesson program.
The store will continue to serve the residents of Gainesville and surrounding towns in Alachua County, including Arredondo, Tioga, West Hills and Jonesville with expanded services now including private and group lessons, instrument rentals, repairs and a wide assortment of instruments and accessories. Located at 6787 W Newberry Rd. in Gainesville, the store will also serve school music programs throughout nearby counties.
“For many years, Great Southern Music has been the local music store in the Gainesville area for performing musicians of all styles and levels. We’re excited to continue to provide the best in instruments, lessons, rentals and repair services to Gainesville and surrounding communities,” said Music & Arts President Steve Zapf.
