Microphone manufacturer Heil Sound has assigned distribution rights for the U.S. and Canada to Hal Leonard. Ash Levitt, president of Heil Sound, and Brad Smith, Hal Leonard’s vice president of MI products, made the agreement. It goes into effect March 1.
Bob Heil founded Heil Sound in 1966. The company now focuses on microphones and accessories for a variety of applications. A roster of Grammy-winning artists use Heil Sound microphones both on the road and in the recording studio. Heil Sound is also the first manufacturer to be invited to exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
“We are very excited to be working with Hal Leonard, who is well-known in the industry as a reliable distributor,” Levitt said. “The market demand for Heil Sound products is steadily growing, and this partnership enables us to reach a wider network of retailers and provides US and Canadian customers with greater accessibility to our excellent products.”
“Heil Sound brings an impressive history of serving the market for over 50 years,” added Smith. “Heil’s current line is a great and modern fit to our catalog of products. They bring a well-established catalog of products endorsed by the pros. This will give our customers confidence that they are selling the best in the business.”
