The Ludwig Drum Company, a division of Conn-Selmer Inc., has released the Ludwig “Ultimate” marching drums. The redesigned drums are tailored to the needs of marching ensembles. Using the company’s R.F.S.T. shell-making process, its U.S.A.-made drums are able to produce excellent sound. They’re equally suited to corps or show band style. Specs: 100-percent maple shells; 1.5-inch maple reinforcement rings (snare and tenor only); sonically located air vents; integrated cortex finishes (lacquer available); polished aluminum hardware (chrome available); and Randall May hardware. The “Ultimate” series drums are replacing the current Ludwig marching products. For details, visit ludwig-drums.com or booth #4224.
