Dan Ferrisi, Editor of The Retailer, along with David A. Silverman, Editor of sister publication Sound & Communications, attended the EV Road Show in Secaucus NJ this month. The road show, which is traveling from city to city across the United States for the rest of the year, set up shop at Production Resource Group’s (PRG) beautiful facility in Secaucus on September 9 and 10; among the dozens of dealers, contractors and industry pros in attendance, feedback was highly positive. One message driven home was that Electro-Voice, which has been strong in the MI side of the business in recent years, is redoubling its efforts on the install side. Products showcased, discussed and demonstrated included the EV-Innovation family of loudspeakers, which encompasses EVA (Expandable Vertical Array), EVF (Front-Loaded), EVH (Horn-Loaded) and EVU (Ultra-Compact) systems, as well as the ETX powered loudspeaker family.
For the balance of the year, road show dates include, but are not limited to: October 14: Fort Lauderdale FL; October 16: Atlanta GA; October 21: Houston TX; October 31: Minneapolis MN; November 11: the Southern California area; November 14: the San Francisco Bay Area in California; November 18: Portland OR; and December 3: Vancouver, Canada. For Dan Ferrisi and David Silverman, the EV Road Show event was a great place to network, pick up some tips from fellow pros and get some hands-on time with very cool, highly technologically advanced products.
Electro-Voice plans more road shows next year, so they’re soon to come to a city near you.
