Based in New York, but grabbing market share around the world, D’Addario & Company has announced the formation of D’Addario China. Established in Shanghai and fully owned by D’Addario, D’Addario China will manage sales and marketing of the company’s products throughout the mainland. To manage this effort, Jack Jin has been hired as D’Addario China’s Market Development Manager. Reporting directly to Vice President of Sales David Via, Jin brings his experience as Editor-In-Chief at Modern Player Publications, publisher of China’s two premier music magazines for guitarists and drummers. In addition, Modern Player produced the Shanghai Daily Magazine each year during the Shanghai Music Show, the Far East’s preeminent trade show for music products.
“Jack’s extensive experience and know-how will definitely propel D’Addario forward,” declared Via. “We’re elated to have him on our team and looking forward to expanding our efforts.”
Jin will oversee sales, marketing and the customer service activities of third-party providers hired to help D’Addario China grow across the mainland. He will also work closely with the company’s authorized dealers and distributors to manage direct-to-consumer e-commerce stores, which are available on China’s three leading e-commerce platforms. Furthermore, Jin will work closely with colleagues in Hong Kong and Taiwan, leading influencers and D’Addario authorized distributors, while also overseeing sales.
