The annual American DJ Customer Appreciation Party drew a crowd of approximately 1,200 DJs and guests during the Mobile Beat Show in Las Vegas. Digital Underground brought down the house performing its “Humpty Dance” and other hits that made the group icons in the ’90s, as well as a selection of new material. In addition to Digital Underground, the party featured performances by rap artists Paperboy and Ske-loo, as well as American Audio’s own DJ Etronik. There was also a surprise visit by members of the group Wu Tang, who dropped in on the party.
Artists who have performed at the American DJ Customer Appreciation Party in the past include Naughty By Nature, DJ Kool and Cupid of Cupid Shuffle fame.
“We always look for artists who can connect to our customers and who highlight DJing in their performances,” said Scott Davies, General Manager of American DJ. “Most of all, though, we want artists our customers will enjoy; this event is all about our customers and saying ‘thank you’ to them.”
