dealer-awardsAlfred Music Publishing announced the winners of the 2012 Alfred Premier Dealer Awards at the annual NAMM show, held last month in Anaheim CA. The recipients of the awards were Gayle and Russ Beacock from Beacock Music and Lori Supinie from Senseney Music. These awards honor dealers for building strong relationships with Alfred over the past year, and achieving excellence in the music products industry. Located in Vancouver WA, Beacock Music is the largest independent music store in the Pacific Northwest. It has been a family-owned company since it first opened in 1976. In addition to being very active within the dealer community, it maintains an interactive store environment and services hundreds of music students each week through its lesson program.

“Beacock Music has a ton of contagious enthusiasm for music,” stated Janeen Apodaca, Account Representative at Alfred. “They have the enthusiasm to innovate and the enthusiasm to push boundaries. They have created a warm environment that invites their customers to stay and browse the store. Tracy, their Print Music Manager, is energetic and always looking for ways to make her department more successful. Overall, Gayle and Russ have created the ultimate music store package.”

Founded in 1984 by a former music educator, Senseney Music strives to provide exceptional products and services to students, music teachers, and amateur and hobbyist musicians. It has an extremely experienced staff that its customers count on for recommendations and information. In addition, it offers classes in all areas, including piano, band and string instruments, as well as rock band classes. It is active in servicing the schools in its areas on all levels, and has sponsored a community band for the past 25 years.

“Senseney Music is always looking to better their business and they are always open to partnering with us,” said Pam Hendricks, Director of Sales, Institutional Products at Alfred. “They participate every year in our VIP stocking plans, are a PIP dealer and carry all of our new issues.” She continued, “Senseney is the kind of music store that most retailers strive to emulate, with experienced staff, support for their community and good business practices.”
