The Silvertone 1423, from Samick Music Corp. and recently reissued, features all the style and tone of the original with improvements in playability, hardware and construction. The model now has an all-new finish. Originally offered from 1959 through 1962, the Silvertone 1423 “Jupiter” is a collector’s favorite. The highlight of this reissue is the unique “blender control.” In addition to the separate volume and tone controls for each pickup, the “blend” knob alters the balance between the two pickups when the selector switch is in the middle position.
