Yamaha has announced the schedule for its Financial Advantage program, a free two-day interactive workshop that helps authorized Yamaha Keyboard, Band & Orchestral and Pro Audio & Combo dealers get the most out of their businesses. This year’s program will be held on June 17 and 18 in Las Vegas. Regardless of the state of the economy, music product retailers have always faced unique challenges—particularly those who run their own businesses. With that in mind, Yamaha Corp. of America continues its tradition of dealership investment by offering Financial Advantage seminars.
The intensive program is offered annually and incorporates fictional case studies, role-playing and other interactive elements to help dealers navigate the financial challenges facing their businesses today. Topics covered include rentals, business valuation, balance sheets, improving profitability and cash flow, along with inventory management. Music industry veteran Alan Friedman, CPA and Partner with Friedman, Kannenberg & Company, P.C., leads the Financial Advantage seminars. A musician, noted author and commentator on retailing issues in the trade and national media, Friedman provides expert accounting, tax and consulting services for the music products industry.
“Attendee reviews and evaluations from prior events have been very positive,” said Roger Eaton, Director of Marketing, Band & Orchestral Division, Yamaha Corp. of America. “The materials covered in Financial Advantage are presented in an approachable, easy-to-understand manner. People really seem to enjoy their time, and they walk away feeling as if they’ve actually learned something they can apply to their business. We try to help our dealers make financial decisions based on fact and knowledge, not assumptions.”
Interested dealers should contact their Yamaha District Manager for details.
