In the September issue’s Music & Sound Independent Retailer section, we provided a brief wrap-up of Clinton IA-based Tegeler Music’s 3rd Annual Benefit Concert, which took place over Labor Day weekend on August 31 and September 1. The proceeds are being donated to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), which supports a full range of programs and services for injured veterans and their families. Don Tegeler, the store’s Owner, was proud to announce that the concert was successful in raising more than $10,000 for WWP; the celebrity item auction held on September 1 was a huge success, by itself raising more than $5,700. The main item on the auction block was a Crafter guitar signed by Alice Cooper, which sold for $1,850.
This was an incredible event put on by Tegeler, whose success will aid the countless people whom WWP helps every day.
