Instrumental Music Center (IMC) is now independently owned by Leslie Stirm (formerly Leslie Faltin).
Stirm, a University of Arizona alum with strong ties to other women-owned businesses in the community, believes that, despite the pandemic, Instrumental Music Center is stronger than ever. To help revitalize IMC’s image and culture following the 2020 exit of former co-owner Mike Faltin, Stirm is looking toward re-branding and a storefront remodel.
“We are excited to take IMC to a new level, while at the same time helping to re-establish local music programs that have been disrupted by COVID-19,” Stirm said. According to Stirm, one thing that won’t change is IMC’s focus on the customer experience, with beginners of all instruments welcome.
Stirm added that, although IMC decided to close its westside location last year, it will open another store in Tucson, Ariz. soon.
IMC was established in 1999 and serves as a premier supplier of musical instruments for all of Southern Arizona.
