All Pro Audio, Video, Lighting (All Pro AVL), the retail division of AP Sound Inc., will become part of Sweetwater and will transition from Pensacola, Fla. to Fort Wayne, Ind., effective this month. All Pro Integrated Systems, the company’s systems integration division, will remain in Pensacola under parent company AP Sound Inc., formerly known as All Pro Sound.
All Pro Sound began as a systems integration firm in 1980 and later added a catalog and online sales division under the same brand name. In 2011, the company was acquired by Chuck Surack, owner of Sweetwater. The two primary divisions of All Pro Sound were rebranded in 2017 to All Pro Integrated Systems and All Pro AVL, respectively.
“In today’s increasingly noisy retail environment, we’re honored that All Pro AVL is becoming a part of Sweetwater, strengthening our ability to reach and serve the market,” said Don Banowetz, president of AP Sound.
“We have been working closely with the team at All Pro to ensure that the transition goes smoothly,” added Jeff Radke, executive vice president of Sales and Chief Sales Officer at Sweetwater. “We look forward to providing customers with the high level of service they’ve come to expect while offering them an even broader and deeper selection of products.”
All Pro customers were recently notified of the change. Sweetwater began receiving All Pro phone this week, and the All Pro AVL website will redirect customers to sweetwater.com.
