Reverb.com has hired Iain Butterwick, Manuel Leray and Nick Smethurst as Territory Managers for the U.K., France and Australia, respectively, to drive the company’s growth abroad. According to Kevin Drost, Director of International Strategy, “Reverb.com has dramatically changed the game for music gear buyers and sellers all over the world who previously would have found it difficult and expensive to conduct business internationally. Over the past year, we’ve built out tools and infrastructure to enable buying and selling around the world, and we’re excited to bring on three new team members to make those transactions even easier.”
Drost joined Reverb.com last year to expand the marketplace globally, and he’s led the company’s efforts to support multiple currencies, simplify international shipping, support multilingual customer service and more. Butterwick, Leray and Smethurst will be charged with continuing the momentum and success achieved in the past year by building brand awareness, recruiting sellers, consulting on development of new features and more for their respective territories.
In addition to establishing dedicated support in Europe and Australia, Reverb.com announced the launch of its mobile app outside of North America. The app enables musicians and music lovers all over the world to discover new music gear and list items for sale straight from their smartphone.
