Kala Brand Music Inc. has opened its third warehouse in Ashland VA in order to serve its customers in the Eastern half of the U.S. as well as guarantee uninterrupted service to all of its customers in the event of future port difficulties on either coast. The new warehouse is strategically located to cut down on the transport time and the cost of shipments to Kala’s Eastern seaboard customers and surrounding states. Kala’s other warehouses are located in Northern California and Hawaii.
“Opening a warehouse in Virginia provided us with a solution to two problems,” according to Dave Cafiero, VP Sales and Operations. “It satisfied a long term solution to the high cost of shipping lightweight instruments to the East Coast, and also provides insurance against future port closures or slowdowns like we experienced earlier this year.”
