Players with vintage guitars or those who wish to rock a vintage look no longer have to tune their instruments with antiquated technology, because Graph Tech’s calibrated and precise Ratio machine heads are now offered in a vintage waffle-back design.
Ratio machine heads are calibrated to the core thickness of each individual string — meaning that you get fine tuning for thicker-core strings, and coarser tuning on thinner-core strings — via gear ratios from 12:1 to 39:1. Every string feels and reacts the same to the player’s tuning adjustments. Even if the player uses a set of light top/heavy bottom strings, Ratio machine heads can make every string they are tuning respond the same; one turn results in about one tone change for every string.
